Propellers

Propellers are key components of ships and play a critical role in propulsion. Typically located at the stern of the ship, beneath the waterline, propellers are rotating devices that convert engine power into thrust, propelling the ship forward or backward. They consist of multiple blades that are shaped to optimize the flow of water and generate propulsion efficiently. The primary purpose of propellers is to propel ships through the water by creating a thrust force. As the propeller blades rotate, they create a pressure difference on either side, causing water to flow over the blades. This flow of water generates a reaction force that pushes the ship forward.
