This 45 minute DVD demonstrates a technique to complete the first and second layer of planking for a wooden model of a sharp bowed vessel such as the Flying Fish, Albatros or Mermaid.

Narration & demonstration is by a Master Ship Modeler.

Planking the hull of a model can present a particular challenge to the modeler. Through this DVD the Master Modeler shares many of his tips and techniques to assist and guide the modeler to make the hull planking as straight forward as possible.

The techniques are demonstrated while a model of the HM Cutter Mermaid is built. This model is made by Modellers Shipyard.
