History of Nao Victoria – Aramada De Magallanes
In September 1519, Ferdinand Magellan set sail from Seville, Spain in a convoy consisting of 5 ships and a crew of 245 men. The aim was to reach the Spice Islands (Moluku Islands). In 1522, the Nao Victoria with 18 men on board was the only ship to return to Seville. It was commanded by Juan Sebastian Elcano, and it achieved the greatest naval feat of all times: the first ship to fully circumnavigate the globe.
