History of the HMS Unicorn

Historically the HMS UNICORN – 18th Century Frigate has left us no tales of outstanding war feats or important enterprises, those which often mark the career of a man-of-war so that they are remembered even after its disappearance.

All we know is that the HMS Unicorn was designed by F.H.Chapman for the British Fleet in 1700. Like the original, our model is armed with 24 guns on the open fighting deck and 8 guns below, all complete with gun mountings and wheels. The sleek and tapered line of the hull and the impressive masts make this an extremely striking and beautiful ship.
