The Scorpion Cannon Wooden Model Kit is manufactured by Mantua Models. Mantua has built its reputation on elaborately detailed model kits. Their model kits use photo-etched brass, cast metal fittings, cast metal and machined turned brass fittings. The detail in their range of wooden model kits is exceptional.

This launching arm can be considered one of the modern cannon forerunners. The Scorpion launched iron balls, stones, and arrows at more than two hundred meters and with high precision as the 15 and 16 century powders did.
